The teams had to make two decisions here, the first one was who was going to do the challenge and the second choice was which challenge they were going to do. They had a choice of searching for hidden items around the building or completing an obstacle course that was set up on the track. To our surprise 6 out of the 7 teams choose to do the obstacle course. On the course they have to do a number of things including riding a child’s bike, completing a puzzle, making their way across ladders, tossing balls into cans; however the best part was watching them build a piece of furniture out of Lego. They were in full concentration mode putting their masterpiece together!

Teams had to work together to put the pieces of a map of Kincardine together, as you can see in the photos the teams were in full concentration mode, trying to get as quickly as possible.

Park at BMTS in Tiverton

Team members had to decide who had “Guts of Steel” to complete this challenge. One team member was required to eat a variety of items before they could get their clue to the next stop. Every team managed to get it down but it wasn’t easy!

Kelsey Rackley was kind enough to give up her time on Canada Day to teach teams the Highland fling, or at least part of it. She showed them how to do it and then it was their turn. Once she decided they had given it all they had she gave them their clue to the next stop.

Sandcastle Building

Teams had to reconstruct a sandcastle as illustrated in a picture that was part of their clue.
Teams were given some sand toys to assist them.

Other stops

Some of the other challenges teams had to complete included completing a Sudoku board, they had to complete a word scramble, build a replica sand sculpture, shoot soccer balls through hoops in the nets, put together a reunion rosette (bow). At one stop they had a choice of tossing bales of hay or walking a cow down the lane and back. There were many other challenges along the way, that the teams had fun completing! Overall it was a great time had by everyone, every team gave it all they had, and it was great to watch!
